Welcome

Welcome to Bridlewood Estates! I wanted to create a blog where we, as neighbors can communicate. First, let me introduce ourselves. We are the Ernsbergers (Casey, Lisa, Gavin, and Mya). We live on Scarborough Lane and I have organized the garage sale the last few years. I have taught for Wawasee Schools for seven years and my husband is one of the many RV workers that is laid off. Our children are Gavin and Mya. Gavin will be four in September and Mya will be one in September.
I wanted to create a blog for a couple of reasons. The first being to communicate events happening in the neighborhood. Also, with the real estate market as it is, to remind neighbors of the by-laws so that we can keep our resale value of our homes up, and third to generate some play groups for our kids! So feel free to post something, if you do, please try to post a picture and a street so we can get to know each other better. Remember, the nature of this is to be respectful of our neighbors and our neighborhood.

  2. The Koziol's will be there! (We live across from Tammy & Jason.) I am having Michael run some moolah over on Monday. We are really looking forward to it, with the air show being canceled this summer, we were bummed. But now we are excited about meeting some new neighbors and having fun just across the street! Thanks to the Pfeils, Griffiths and Rumschlags for organizing it, you are awesome people!

  3. Hi
This is Lyle & Lee Miller 58698 St Marys Lane. We would like to give everyone a word of caution, someone broke into our house this past Friday morning between midnight and 7:00 AM and stole my wallet and laptop computer and briefcase out of our kitchen. Just a reminder to take extra precautions to secure your home at night.

  4. Great idea with the blog Lisa! My name is Kelly Gordon (58524 St Marys Ln). My family moved in this past December. My husband is Nathan and we have 2 boys, Tyler (5) & Blake (6 months). We are excited to attend the bash and meet some of our new neighbors! Also, Lisa, I graduated with you and Aaron Metzger at Concord (Kelly Collins)! Small world that we live in the same neighborhood now!

  6. Lisa, Cool idea! We are the Dorbins---John, Shirley, Meredith (6), Erica (2) and Lucy the doggie. Shirley is the acting vice-president of the home owners association and also a teacher (retired for the past 6 years but will be again someday) and John is a corporate attorney with CTS Corp. in Elkhart. We live in the white colonial with the red door on Dundee Court. We won't be at the Bash as we had previous plans outside the neighborhood but really enjoyed the garage sale!

  7. This is a great idea. Thanks for getting it started. We are the Smiths, Jamie, Victoria, and Parker(7 days old). We live on St. Mary's. Addressing the crime postings, we found some important things from a wallet in our yard a couple weeks ago. They were working at a house down the street and had left their car unlocked. The night before I was letting the dog (Ryker) out and noticed somebody walking down the street smoking. A little peculiar, it was like 1:00am. Have all of these break-ins occured when the doors were unlocked or did they have to force their entry? We all need to look out after each other, and take those extra precautions for ourselves. I remember growing up and leaving the house unlocked all the time and your keys in the car outside. Times have definitely changed...

    See everyone next Saturday!!

  15. Hello --

Still looking for running partners. Thinking about doing a sprint Triathlon in Aug.

Also, thinking about expanding our dog training/care hobby into more of a business. Anyone interested? My husband trains Retrievers for bird hunting/sporting. We may also get into dog care like walking, running, over-night. Let us know, cstroyer@yahoo.com. He has a website: http://www.willowrunretrievers.com/
